Hi, I'm Tom Johns ALCM!

I love helping people discover the joy of playing guitar. Whether you're 8 or 80, complete beginner or getting back into it after years - let's find the songs that make you excited to pick up your guitar.

I have 25+ years experience of playing and performing, including 10,000+ hours of full time teaching. I am committed to offering engaging, fun and personalized guitar, and bass lessons for students of all ages and skill levels.

I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, and my love for music led me to London, England where I started teaching full time in 2015. I moved to Orlando in 2024 with my wife and two young kids (a son and a daughter).

It gives me particular delight to see my son showing an interest in guitar and jamming out to Metallica!

Experience

Teaching and Performance

• Ten Years full time teaching (over 10,000 lessons!) with students of all ages and abilities

- My students have gone from complete beginner to studying music at university and getting paid gigs in bands

• Two Youtube Channels with combined 100K+ subscribers

• Professional Performance Diploma (ALCM) from the prestigious London College of Music.

• As a composer, I have had my compositions played on UK National Television (BBC Television)

• I have achieved the highest grade (grade 8) in the UK's musical examination system in multiple styles. I have achieved this in Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar and Classical Guitar

• 100% success rate in graded performance exams (grade 1 to grade 8)

• I have played more live gigs as a performer either solo or in a band than I can remember!
